The Ormeau Bulldogs Junior AFC came about in 2008 when a group of kids (and parents) under the influence of the Gold Coast Juniors Auskick used to meet every Tuesday afternoon on the Canowindra oval near Ormeau State School for training and games.
Due to the growing numbers of enthusiastic parents and children, we were encouraged by the AFL Gold Cost Juniors to form a club.
The new community AFL club was officially formed at the Inaugural General Meeting at the end of November 2008 and a committee of parents was formed. The club was “Incorporated” on 23 Dec 08.
Our first sign on day for the newly formed Ormeau Bulldogs occurred on the 8th February 2009. We had over 70 children sign up on that day, which exceeded all of our expectations.
The club now has over 300 members and is growing steadily each year.
In 2016, The Ormeau Bulldogs AFC was created and the Juniors, Seniors and Masters all amalgamated to become one club.
