Ormeau Little Athletics

Welcome to Ormeau Little Athletics, the newest club on the Northern End of the Gold Coast. Our competitions start at 8:30am, so we kindly ask all participants to arrive by 8:15am for warm-up. We are based at Ormeau Woods High School, providing a convenient location for families in the area.

Children are welcome to sign up throughout the season, which runs from August to March. At Ormeau Little Athletics, we believe in offering opportunities for children of all abilities to participate in athletics. Children must be between the ages of 5 and U-17 to register, and we also welcome Tiny Tots and AWD athletes this season.

Our Little Athletics Centre aims to promote an active and healthy lifestyle within a safe and fun environment. We prioritise family, fun, and fitness, bringing the community together. We strive to provide state-of-the-art facilities and support, educate, and encourage athletes of all abilities.

Our Little Athletics Centre is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who are assisted by parents during competitions to ensure that each child is given a fair go. As a parent of a Little Athlete, it is important to familiarise yourself with the policies of Ormeau Little Athletics as well as our State Association, Little Athletics Queensland. This will ensure that both you and your child have the best experience at the Centre and Association Carnivals/Events.

We also offer McDonald's Achievement Levels, which are calculated based on the averages of performances attained by Little Athletics Queensland athletes over the years. These levels provide recognition for varying levels of performance in different events. Athletes can receive a McDonald's Achievement Award Certificate by reaching the relevant level in three event groups specific to their age group.
