Oztag is a non-contact form of rugby league and is a variation of British Tag Rugby. The game is exciting due to the invention of the 'tag' velcroed to a player's shorts, preventing phantom 'touch' calls. A game usually last for 20 minutes a half and is played on a 70x50 metre field. The attacking team has six plays to try and score or take the ball downfield as close to their try line as possible. There are now over 140,000 participants in Australia played by females and males from juniors to seniors including representative opportunities.
