About

Sharp and precise execution. Taekwondo promotes physical fitness, mental discipline, and self-confidence.

PACE Taekwondo is dedicated to providing high-quality Taekwondo training to individuals of all ages and skill levels. The academy focuses on the development of effective and precise technique through regular practise and discipline. With a strong emphasis on physical fitness and mental discipline, students at PACE Taekwondo not only learn self-defence skills but also improve their overall well-being.

Classes at PACE Taekwondo are held at two convenient locations in Melbourne's inner metropolitan suburbs, Clifton Hill and Northcote. The Northcote branch is located at Northcote High School on St Georges Road, while the Clifton Hill branch is situated at Clifton Hill Primary School on Gold Street. The academy provides a COVID-19 notice on their website, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are followed.

The class schedule at PACE Taekwondo offers flexibility to accommodate different age groups. Tuesday evenings are dedicated to children aged 6 and above from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by adults aged 15 and above from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northcote branch. On Saturday mornings, children's classes are held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while adult classes run from 10:30 AM at the Northcote branch.

PACE Taekwondo is led by a team of dedicated and experienced instructors who are passionate about teaching and promoting the art of Taekwondo. Grandmaster Young Youl Oh, a 9th Dan Black Belt, is the founder and head instructor of PACE Taekwondo. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having been the Korean National Taekwondo champion and a Taekwondo instructor during the Vietnam War.

For those interested in joining PACE Taekwondo or learning more about the academy, enquiries can be made through their website or by contacting them directly at +61 407 364 286. PACE Taekwondo also maintains an active presence on social media platforms like Facebook, where updates and announcements are regularly shared.

As an affiliated club, PACE Taekwondo is a member of Australian Taekwondo and World Taekwondo, ensuring that its training programmes and standards are in line with international practises. Additionally, PACE Taekwondo is connected with other affiliated clubs, including Oh's Taekwondo Centre in Yarraville and White Studio Taekwondo in Brighton.

With a rich history spanning several decades, PACE Taekwondo has evolved and grown under the guidance of Grandmaster Oh and Mr. Robert Pace. The academy has moved locations multiple times, but its commitment to providing top-quality Taekwondo training has remained constant. Today, PACE Taekwondo continues to instil discipline, improve physical fitness, and build confidence in its members.

Taekwondo, with its roots in Korea, offers a unique blend of striking, blocking, evasive, and manipulative techniques. The movements in Taekwondo are characterised by their circular and flowing nature, yet executed with precision and power. This balance of power and aesthetics sets Taekwondo apart as a martial art and creates a dynamic and engaging training experience.

At PACE Taekwondo, individuals of all backgrounds and abilities are welcome to explore the world of Taekwondo. Whether one aims to improve physical fitness, gain self-defence skills, or cultivate mental discipline, PACE Taekwondo is committed to helping each student achieve their goals in a supportive and inclusive environment.
