Para-cycling is a form of cycling that has been modified for individuals with disabilities that include visual impairments and limb mobility challenges. The participants use hand-cycles, tricycles, or tandem cycles that are modified to the needs of the individual. The races consist of both road and track events and are usually measured by time-trial and sprints. The sport was introduced in Seoul and is now practiced in over 40 countries.
