The club has a rich history, with its roots tracing back to 1976 when it was established as Brothers JRLFC, a founding member of the Gold Coast District Junior Rugby League. In its early years, Brothers JRLFC competed in the inaugural Gold Coast Juniors competition, sporting the distinctive blue and white striped “buthers” jumpers. Lionel Kellett played a crucial role in the club's early success, serving as the inaugural President and Treasurer of the district. Over the years, Lionel became a significant figure within the rugby league community, holding various leadership positions within the Gold Coast District and Parkwood Brothers Sharks, eventually earning the status of Life Member for both organisations.
Overall, Parkwood Sharks Rugby League Club strives to promote the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community involvement. By providing a platform for players and their families to connect and actively participate in the sport, the club aims to create a positive and nurturing environment for all involved.
