

Physical Disability Sports Tasmania is a sports club based in Hobart, Tasmania. The club is focused on promoting and supporting wheelchair sports for people of all ages and abilities. The sports offered include Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Aussie Rules, Boccia, and Wheelchair Rugby.
In addition to providing opportunities for participation in wheelchair sports, the club also offers the BodySafe Education Programme. This programme is aimed at students between years 9-12 and is aligned with the Australian Curriculum (Health). It covers topics such as risk-taking behaviours, spinal cord injury prevention, and physical trauma prevention.
Physical Disability Sports Tasmania is proudly part of ParaQuad Tasmania, a not-for-profit charity that serves as the leading voice within the Tasmanian community for people living with Spinal Cord Injury and physical disability. ParaQuad Tasmania offers a range of services, including general information on spinal cord injury, referrals, peer support, access information, advocacy, and schools and community education programmes.
The club also supports athletes with physical disabilities through the Athlete Development Fund. This fund provides direct financial support to athletes who wish to participate in sports at a social, state, national, or international level.
Physical Disability Sports Tasmania has been instrumental in supporting athletes like Patrick Best, who has found success in racing thanks to the grants provided by the club.
