PMYC aims to be a leading club for off-the-beach sailing on Port Phillip Bay, and relies on its members to contribute to the continuing development and operation of the Club. This involvement promotes the friendly culture of the Club and ensures responsiveness to members’needs. The Club has been operating on the foreshore of Port Melbourne since 1889 with a new clubhouse built to replace one destroyed by fire in 1990.

Yes, visiting sailors are welcome at PMYC. We offer off-the-beach sailing on Port Phillip Bay and support racing, sailing school, boat storage and recreational sailing.
We provide racing, a sailing school, boat storage and recreational sailing at the top of the Bay. Our club is also supported by volunteers who help manage races during the racing season.
