Dynamic Hatha Yoga tradition is taught in a friendly and relaxing environment. We believe that coordination of breath and movement, relaxation and stillness are vital parts of yoga practise. Fundamentally we look at having the following qualities when practising yoga: sthira (steadiness and alertness), and sukha (to remain comfortable in each posture). Both qualities need to be present equally when practising a posture.
For sthira and sukha to be present one needs to locate knots, let go of them and surrender the body.
Yoga encourages you to 'unite' your body, mind, and spirit.
Each class places emphasis on a sequence of poses, working with breathing (inhale, exhale and holds) and meditation techniques. Each class will prepare you in the right direction to reach a goal over a length of time.
Please feel free to bring your own mat. If you don't have one we're happy to supply it. Classes are fun and friendly. All levels welcome, so please call or email to secure a spot.
