Their Junior Academy Afternoon School Programmes are available for students aged 3 and above and provide training in a variety of styles including Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Pointe, Repertoire, Acrobatics, and more. Additionally, private coaching is available for students preparing for eisteddfod solos or exams.
For students looking for more intensive training, the elite professional programmes are available for students aged 5 to 17 and offer a comprehensive curriculum. These programmes cover a range of disciplines including Classical Ballet (ACB), Contemporary, Jazz, Pointe, Stretch & Strength, Progressive Ballet Method, and Acrobatics. The programmes also include specialised coaching for male dancers and eisteddfod troops for Junior, Senior, and Full-time School students.
For those aspiring to pursue a full-time career in dance, QLD National Ballet School offers government-accredited courses. These courses include the Elite Programme for students aged 9 to 11, the Junior Course which leads to a Certificate IV in Dance for students aged 12 and above, the Pre-Professional Course which leads to an Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance for students aged 15 and above, and the Professional Year in affiliation with Ballet International Gala for students aged 16 and above. These courses provide students with a comprehensive education in Classical and Contemporary Dance and are designed to prepare them for a successful career in the industry.
The full-time courses at QLD National Ballet School are delivered at the highest industry leading standards, focusing on developing a strong and refined technique in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance. The curriculum includes training in Russian Vaganova Method, Pas de deux, Repertoire, Commercial Jazz, Acrobatics, Strength, Conditioning, Cardio, Stretching, and Industry development practises. The students in these programmes have a full-day schedule from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with additional Saturday classes available.
Auditions for the full-time programmes are held annually for enrolment in the following year. Students interested in auditioning for the programmes can contact the school to book their audition.
