
Mr Coleman commenced his Taekwon-Do journey in Bundaberg in April 1984 under the direct instruction of Mr Moulden. In 1986, Mr Coleman, then a 2nd Gup student, began teaching at the West Bundaberg branch of Rhee Taekwon-Do. In June 1987 he was promoted to 1st Dan Black Belt. He was subsequently appointed to the position of Branch Instructor and taught at branches across the Wide Bay Burnett region, including Bundaberg, Childers, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Tiaro and Gin Gin for the next 10 years.
In June 1997, Mr Coleman was promoted to 2ndDan and then promoted to 3rd Dan in March 2001.
Mr Coleman relocated to Brisbane in 1999 and continued to instruct and train under Mr Moulden. In 2004 Mr Coleman was promoted to 4th Dan Black Belt and attained International Instructor status (Certificate Number 1257).
During 2005, Mr Moulden restructured the Academy and appointed Mr Coleman as the Regional Instructor for South East Queensland. In 2007 Mr Moulden relocated to Thailand and appointed Mr Coleman as the Chief Instructor for Australia.
Mr Coleman was promoted to 5th Dan in September 2008 and to 6th Dan in October 2013.
