Randwick Physie

Randwick Physie & Dance is a friendly sports club located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, with a history spanning over 60 years. The club welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities, creating a dance sport family that promotes inclusivity and support. Classes are held at PCYC Eastern Suburbs on Bunnerong Road in Daceyville.

Physie & Dance, practised at Randwick Physie, combines elements of jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and cardio. The club follows the Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA) syllabus, which includes learning 4 to 6 choreographed routines throughout the year, with each routine focusing on specific skill sets such as movement, musicality, technique, performance, flexibility, and strength.

In addition to improving physical health, Randwick Physie & Dance aims to enhance mental and community well-being among its members. One of the highest accolades in Physie and Dance is the title of Grand Champion. At Nationals, the top three or four placegetters in the Open sections compete for this coveted title. The Grand Champions have the opportunity to perform a solo after their win, showcasing their exceptional talent.
