Riverstone Schofields Junior Soccer Club, located in Sydney, has been providing the local community with an affordable way to participate in football since its establishment in 1974. This grassroots not-for-profit community club is entirely run by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the sport.
With the recent success of the Socceroos in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the club is eagerly looking forward to an exciting 2023 season. As they approach their 50th birthday in 2024, the club is also seeking female footballers to join their ranks and potentially become the next generation of Matildas. They welcome individual players as well as complete teams, and are currently searching for a female football coordinator to enhance their inclusive and family-friendly environment.
The club also aims to strengthen their premier League mens squad and is in need of two high-quality players due to preseason injuries. This presents a great opportunity for talented players to join a competitive team and contribute to their success.
Regarding registrations for the upcoming season, the club has announced an opening date of January 4th, 2023. While there will be a slight increase in fees due to higher registration and referees fees by the BDSFA (Blacktown and Districts Soccer Football Association)/Football NSW/FFA, all match/game fees and referees fees will be included in the registration fees for added convenience. This means there will be no weekly payments required to the team manager.
To register, new players will need to create an account on the BDSFA registration platform, Dribl. If they have previously registered via Dribl, they can use their existing account information. Moreso, it is encouraged for eligible participants to claim their Active Kids Voucher for 2023 with Service NSW before registering on Dribl.
Once registered, players have the option to pay their fees via credit card on Dribl. However, if they prefer to pay in cash or via EFTPOS, designated payment days have been scheduled at the Riverstone Schofields Memorial Club on January 14th and 21st, 2023, as well as at the Schofields Park Clubhouse on February 8th, 2023. Alternatively, players can make a transfer to the club's bank account, ensuring they include the player's name and age group in the transaction details.
Riverstone Schofields Junior Soccer Club provides an opportunity for individuals of all ages and skill levels to engage in the sport they love, with a strong emphasis on community and inclusivity. Joining this club means becoming part of a rich history and gaining access to passionate coaches, supportive sponsors, and a vibrant footballing community.
