Welcome to Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club! Established in 1994, the club is an amalgamation of two previous cricket clubs, Riverton CC (established in 1971) and Rostrata CC (established in 1985). The Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club, affectionately known as The Rats, competes in the South Metropolitan Cricket Association in Perth, Western Australia.
Our cricket season runs from October through to March, with matches played on Saturdays for the men's team and Sundays for the women's team. Our home oval is the beautiful Riverton Reserve, located on High Road in Riverton. Preseason training typically starts in late August, and regular season training sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday night from 5pm.
At Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club, we love welcoming new faces to our club, and all players are encouraged to join. We cater to men's seniors, women's cricket, and juniors aged 14 and over are eligible to play. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, we have a place for you in our club. Don't hesitate to contact us or come down to one of our training sessions to get involved.
We also have a range of upcoming events and important dates for the club. Our preseason training for the 2023/2024 season will be held on various dates and locations, including Sutherlands Oval Indoor, Prendwick Reserve, and Riverton Reserve. These training sessions are essential for players to prepare for the upcoming season.
In terms of news and updates, the Riverton Rostrata Cricket Club is currently seeking players for the upcoming 2022/23 season. We welcome players of all abilities and have teams ranging from 2nd grade to 1 Day G, ensuring there's a team suitable for everyone. Additionally, we offer two options for playing fees, with an early bird discount available for those who pay prior to October 8th.
We are pleased to announce that Derek Bland will continue on as the club coach for the 2022/23 season. Derek's contribution to the club has been significant, and we look forward to another successful year under his guidance.
