Rockingham JFC Auskick is a sports club located in Perth and is part of the Rockingham Rams Football Club Peel DFDC. The Auskick programme is designed for children in Pre-Primary Year 1 and 2, welcoming both boys and girls who are interested in learning how to play Australian Rules football.
The main focus of the Auskick programme is on having fun, making new friends, and developing new football skills. Each child who registers to play Auskick with the Rockingham Rams will receive a football pack, a team photo, and will enjoy an exciting windup and trophy at the end of the season.
The registration for the 2014 season will take place on February 23rd at the Rockingham Rams Club Rooms located at Anniversary Park. New members will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, while existing members only need to provide their birth certificate number. The cost of registration is $100, which includes the registration fee, pack, team photo, windup, and trophy. Cash and Eftpos facilities will be available for payment.
Uniforms for the season will consist of black shorts, St. Kilda socks, and a football jumper or any top. Uniforms will be available for sale on registration day at the clubrooms. The season will start on May 4th at Anniversary Park, and sessions will take place every Sunday morning from 9:00am to 10:45am.
There will be two byes on June 1st and July 13th, with the season ending on August 17th.
Parents and families are strongly encouraged to come down to the club on Sunday mornings to support and cheer on their children. It has been found through research that a 1:5 parent/child ratio is ideal, so the coaches are always in need of parent volunteers to assist with skill sessions. The more parents involved, the less time the children spend waiting. Parents are required to stay at the ground during Auskick sessions and should not leave their child unattended.
In addition to the Auskick programme, the Rockingham Rams Football Club also has a Facebook page, where members can stay up-to-date with the latest news and events. The club also encourages the use of the GameDay App, which provides access to match results, fixtures, and stats.
Overall, Rockingham JFC Auskick aims to provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn and enjoy Australian Rules football. The club values the involvement and support of parents and strives to create a positive experience for both children and adults.
