Royal Geelong Yacht Club

Welcome to the Royal Geelong Yacht Club. The Club has a superb location on the water’s edge facing north over Corio Bay. Our clubhouse provides a large Members’ Lounge, bar and café with expansive outdoor decks for great social occasions. The Club provides a separate clubhouse and yacht storage facility for younger sailors. The Marina View Café is open to the general public from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, as well as breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. We are conveniently located on the award winning Geelong waterfront only a short walk from the city centre. The club's marina offers 250 secure berths with access to water and power, storage for 45 yachts on the hardstand and can accommodate vessels on swing moorings. There are slipway and boat maintenance facilities on site. RGYC offers a full range of sailing experiences from Learn to Sail and Sailability, through to crewing on dinghies or keelboats in races. We provide Twilight racing on Wednesdays and multiple divisions of racing for keelboats and dinghies on Saturdays. There are other racing events throughout the year. The Club provides a wide range of social events including dinners, cruises, guest speakers, car cruises, and seasonal celebrations. The Festival of Sails, held at the end of January every year at RGYC, is the largest keelboat regatta in the southern hemisphere. The Festival includes a shore based community event that attracts 100,000 visitors each year. We also present the delightful Wooden Boat Festival every second year (2016) on the Labour Day weekend in March.
