Leading up to 1967, a group of twenty Rugby enthusiasts gathered about a tin shed in a naturally fertilised, khaki weed covered paddock, with the intention of producing a Rugby Union team in Scone. The meeting that gave birth to the Scone Rugby Club was held at the old Gun Club on Gundy Road and from that moment onwards the future of rugby in Scone has never been in doubt.
Over 40 years on and the Scone Brumbies are still going strong, serving the club proud by winning the 2014 Tier two permierships in both divisions.
Together with our junior club, we are responsible for the development of many talented junior & senior players that have gone through the ranks and on to representitive football at a country and national level.
