Shire Sharks Swim Club

Shire Sharks Swim Club is a swimming sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Established in April 2006, the club was founded by swimmers from Shire Swim School who wanted to compete in the competitive swimming arena. Shire Swim School, located in Kirrawee, is a specially designed heated saltwater indoor pool built in 2004 by John Widmer, a former state and Australian national champion swimmer.

Under the guidance of chief coach and owner John Widmer, many of the club's swimmers have quickly developed their skills and achieved significant progress. They have moved up through the swim school levels and achieved impressive results in various school carnivals. Some club members have even attained metropolitan and state qualifying times. The coaching ability of John and his team has been proven through the success of their swimmers.

Shire Sharks Swim Club is fully supportive of club swimmers who aim to develop their sport further and compete at a higher level. Whether their goal is to excel in school carnivals or pursue their dreams of reaching the Olympics, the club provides complete support. The club also organises fun family nights where both serious swimmers and those who are not interested in competitive swimming can enjoy the sport together.

Registered with NSW Swimming in September 2006, Shire Sharks Swim Club is relatively young but has a strong vision for growth and development. The club aims to cultivate and nurture all their members into lifelong swimmers. Every season, the club holds club nights where swimmers' performances are measured and points are awarded based on attendance and improvement in times. At the end of each season, trophies and certificates are presented at a special presentation night.
