Softball Australia

Softball Australia is the national governing body for softball in Australia. Our membership comprises 8 States and Territories (Member States), Associations, Clubs and individual members who play, coach, officiate and support softball in Australia. Many of our members have received recognition from Softball Australia, the ISF and the Australian Government for the significant contributions they have made to the growth and success of softball across Australia. 

Softball Australia is also responsible for the delivery and preparation our the national teams and squads, Aussie Steelers, Aussie Spirit, Junior Steelers and the Junior Spirit. The Mission statement driving the high performance program is: Optimal performance by Softball Australia athletes and coaches at international signature events, achieved through best practice and innovative High Performance planning and delivery. 

Softball Australia is responsible for the coordination of all involvement of softball at a national and international level. The purpose of the events is two fold: 

 On Diamond

• To identify and select elite talent for national teams, development squads and tournaments. For this reason, the playing conditions and facilities for National Championships should replicate international standards as closely as possible.

Off Diamond

• To be a high-profile showcase for the sport that attracts spectators and actively engages with the whole softball community.
