South Gippsland Game Fishing Club

South Gippsland Game Fishing Club is a family-oriented fishing club located in Leongatha, Victoria, situated near some of the best fishing waters along the Gippsland coast. The club is affiliated with the Game Fishing Association of Victoria (GFAV) and the Game Fishing Association of Australia (GFAA), and adheres to their guidelines in all fishing activities.

The club organises various events and competitions throughout the year, including the Welshpool 7th Annual Snapper & Gummy Fishing Competition, which will be held from November 3rd to November 11th, 2023. Fishing social membership is designed for anglers who want to get into game fishing but are unsure. This membership allows participation in club social fishing events and section two of sanctioned tournaments without the need for a temporary membership fee. However, fishing social membership does not include entitlement to end-of-season trophies or claims and benefits from GFAV/GFAA.

Non-fishing social membership is for individuals who want to be involved in the club but do not fish. This membership offers discounts in social events, a copy of the club newsletter (The Southern Blues News), and the opportunity to hold a nominated position within the club.
