South Pine Striders

South Pine Striders is a running club based in the beautiful surrounds of Eatons Hill, Lake Samsonvale, and the wider Pine Rivers area in Brisbane, South East Queensland. The club was established in 2005 and aims to bring active people together for a run, fostering a sense of community, accountability, and inspiration.

The club's vision is to encourage individuals to get and stay active, set personal goals, achieve them, and build new friendships along the way. South Pine Striders is a not-for-profit incorporated association run by its members, with a core of experienced runners and walkers who are always eager to share their knowledge and experiences with others.

South Pine Striders aims to have a strong presence at major running events in South East Queensland each year, including the Brisbane, Gold Coast, Noosa, and Sunshine Running Festivals. However, participation in these events is not mandatory, and many members choose to focus solely on the weekly training sessions. The club holds regular sessions on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, with morning and evening options available.

The cornerstone of Striders membership is access to the coach-led training sessions. These sessions provide an opportunity to improve fitness, technique, and performance while enjoying the company of fellow runners. The club also offers trial sessions for those who are interested but want to experience a session before committing to membership.

In addition to training, South Pine Striders is actively involved in the local community. Members regularly volunteer at the home parkrun Warner Lakes and also provide race day support for events such as the Pine Rivers Fun Run and Jetty 2 Jetty. By participating in these activities, the club aims to give back to the community and support the growth of running in the area.
