Ineligible for finals and may risk having their games forfeited. Individual player registration fees are $60 per player for the season and must be paid before the player takes the field for their first game. South Pine Touch Association offers player insurance as part of the registration.
South Pine Touch Association prides itself on being a family-friendly and affordable touch football association in Brisbane. Located at Brendale in North Brisbane, the association runs two touch competitions per year. The Summer/Autumn competition runs from late January/early February to late June/early July, while the Winter/Spring competition runs from mid-July to mid-December. Each competition typically consists of 16 rounds plus 3 rounds for finals, with a maximum of 21 weeks to account for inclement weather.
The season concludes with a 4-team final series.
The Monday Night Competition is a mixed competition, exclusively played on Monday nights at the South Pine Sports Complex. Games are scheduled at 6:35, 7:25, 8:15, and occasionally at 9:05 pm. All games follow a standard two by twenty-minute halves format with a five-minute halftime break. In all grades, teams must field a minimum of two ladies throughout the game.
Players must be twelve (12) turning thirteen (13) or older to participate in the mixed Monday night competition. The competition consists of six grades (A, B, C, D, E, and F), with A and B grades combined during the season but separated for finals.
The Thursday Night Competition is a women's six-a-side competition held on Thursday nights. Game times are usually set at 6:35, 7:25, and 8:15 pm. Games follow a twenty-minute halves format with a five-minute halftime break. As with the Monday Night Competition, players must be twelve (12) turning thirteen (13) or older to join the Thursday night women's competition.
Team registration costs $1125 per season, while individual player registration fees amount to $60 per player for the season. Teams can save $200 on their registration cost by meeting two conditions: paying a $200 deposit before round one (mandatory for eligibility) and paying the remaining balance ($725) in full by round four. Payments can be made on specified rounds, but must be settled before the team's first game to qualify for the reduced price. Failure to pay in full by round six will result in ineligibility for finals and potential forfeits of games.
South Pine Touch Association welcomes both new and experienced players to join their competitions. The association's mission is to promote the sport of touch football in a supportive and inclusive environment while providing affordable opportunities for individuals and teams to participate.
