Located in the South East corridor of metropolitan Perth, South Thornlie Redsox Softball Club is a popular sports club catering to softball players of all ages and skill levels. The club is based in Thornlie, a suburb of Perth in Western Australia.
South Thornlie Redsox participates in various competitions throughout the year, including the Mens Seniors, Boys Junior U16, Girls Junior U16, and Mixed Sub Junior U13 Winter competitions. They also have teams in the Mens Summer Vets and Summer Ladies Social competitions organised by the Dale Districts Association. Additionally, the club competes in the Ladies Seniors Summer competition of the South East Metropolitan Softball Association (SEMSA).
The committee responsible for running the club is composed of dedicated volunteers who ensure the smooth operation and success of the club. To become a member of South Thornlie Redsox, individuals can register online on the club's website. The club prefers online registrations, but for those unable to register online, a manual form can be requested and filled out. Payment for registration can be made online, or cash/cheque can be handed over to any committee member.
For the upcoming Summer 2023/24 season, the club has specified playing fees and membership fees. The fees vary depending on the competition and include a game venue and training time. Men's Vets DDMSA has a playing fee of $120 plus a $30 membership fee, with games taking place at Langford Sportsground on Tuesday nights. The Ladies Social DDMSA competition has a playing fee of $150 plus a $30 membership fee, with games held on Friday nights at Langford Sportsground.
