About
Based in Arundel at Morrie Glasman Oval, Southport Labrador Cricket Club is one of the oldest non-profit community-based sporting organisations in Queensland, with the Club’s history through its Southport origins dating back as far as 1883. Throughout this time the Club has enjoyed great success within the Gold Coast Cricket District’s club competition, winning more than 30 topships and producing numerous State and Australian cricket representatives, including Steve Monty (QLD), John Buchanan (QLD & Australian Coach) and Richie Robinson (VIC & Australian Representative, QLD Coach).
In 2011/2012 the Club is aiming to continue to be one of the strongest and most professionally run clubs in Queensland. This success will be achieved through a combination of a professional and hard working administration, high calibre club coaching, a solid financial position and durable, quality facilities.
