A special meeting was called on the 5th April 1988 for the sole purpose of changing the name of the Club. The reason was desirable because with the conducting of the Indoor Centre, a variety of Sports could be catered for. At this meeting it was carried that the Southside United Football Club name be changed to Southside United Sports Club Inc.
