Pavilion is the heart of our social scene, where members can relax and unwind after games or training sessions. The pavilion also houses our clubrooms, which are equipped with changing facilities and storage space for equipment.
St Kilda Baseball Club prides itself on its strong focus on competition. We compete in both Summer and Winter competitions, offering opportunities for players of all levels to get involved. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, we welcome you to join our club.
The club has a rich history that dates back to 1879, making it the oldest baseball club in Australia. We were the first baseball club to appear in the country and have been part of the Claxton Shield Baseball tradition since the 1930s. We have a proud record of premierships, with titles won across various divisions.
At St Kilda Baseball Club, inclusivity is highly valued. We welcome players of all abilities, genders, and ages to join our community. Whether you're a junior player looking to develop your skills or a senior player seeking friendly competition, we have a place for you at our club.
Our grounds, known as Tom O'Halloran's Field, are located in Albert Park, approximately 3 km from Melbourne's CBD. The location offers convenient access via public transport, with tram stops and a railway station within walking distance. We also have ample car parking available near the field.
Our facilities are top-notch, with a full-sized playing field that is meticulously cared for by Sean O'Halloran and Parks Victoria. We have access to recycled water from Albert Park Lake, ensuring that our field remains in excellent condition even during hot summers. Our pavilion houses a canteen that serves delicious catered sandwiches, hotdogs, and a wide selection of beverages.
St Kilda Baseball Club is not just about the sport on the field, it's also about fostering a vibrant social scene. The Cox Pavilion is the perfect place to relax and socialise with fellow members after games and training sessions. We believe in maintaining our tradition of sociability, making our club approachable and friendly for all.
