Welcome to Star Studios, Melbourne's premier sports club for dance enthusiasts. Established in 1962, Star Studios is known for its friendly and professional approach to dance instruction. Our mission is to offer a range of dance styles and classes that cater to dancers of all levels, from beginners to professionals.

At Star Studios, we pride ourselves on providing value for money and a welcoming atmosphere for all. We do not require any contracts, allowing our members to have the flexibility to tailor their dance experience to their needs. Our spacious dance floor is equipped with an air-sprung system, ensuring a comfortable and safe dancing environment.

Our highly experienced and ethical staff are committed to helping each dancer reach their full potential. We offer coaching and classes in various dance styles, including Dancesport, Ballroom, Latin, New Vogue, Social Dancing, Wedding Dances, Swing, Latin American, Rock n Roll, Street Latin, and more. We also provide Coach & Adjudicating Diploma Training and Medal Classes.

For those looking to improve their stamina and technique, we offer specialised classes such as the Ladies Ballroom Class and Sunday Stamina Sessions. We also have exciting Kids Dancesport Classes available. Igor Ifiand, a renowned dance coach, is now available for coaching groups and Pro-Am social dancing.

Our social scene is vibrant and inclusive. Every Tuesday and Friday night, we host social dance programmes from 8:30pm to 11:00pm. These evenings feature great modern music and a variety of dance styles, including Ballroom, Latin American, and New Vogue. No bookings are required, and the entry fee is only $22 per person (or Starcard).

For those who want to brush up on their skills before the social dance, pre-social instruction classes are available for an additional $18 (or Starcard).

On Sundays, we hold mini social dance programmes from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The Sunday night dances are a fantastic way to relax and enjoy dancing in a more intimate setting. Just like our regular social dances, no bookings are necessary, and the entry fee is $22 per person (or Starcard).
