Assistance before the age of 2. Our Aqua Baby & Transition Classes are designed for children as young as 3 months old, with the goal of having them comfortable and confident in the water by the time they reach 18 months. These classes provide a bonding experience for parents and children, as parents are encouraged to participate in the lessons.
For children aged 2 years to early teens, we offer our Beginner to Advanced Learn to Swim Classes. These classes are tailored to suit each child's age, confidence level, and ability. Our experienced instructors focus on building water confidence, teaching essential swimming skills, and promoting a love for swimming. As children progress through the levels, they will develop a strong foundation in swimming techniques and water safety.
In addition to our learn to swim classes, we also offer Stroke Development and Squad Prep classes. These classes are not determined by age, but rather by ability. Our instructors emphasise correct stroke technique and help students strengthen their skills in preparation for joining a swim squad. From beginners to those preparing for competitive swimming, our stroke development classes provide the necessary guidance and support.
At Starfish Learn to Swim, we prioritise the comfort and safety of our students. Our indoor pool is heated to a comfortable 33 degrees Celsius year-round, ensuring optimal conditions for learning. We are a privately run sports club, which means our facilities are dedicated solely to teaching swimming lessons. This allows our students to stay focused and less distracted during their lessons.
We understand that consistency is key to progress. If your child misses a class, we offer replacement classes to ensure they don't miss out on essential learning opportunities. Our structured lessons are designed to help students set and achieve swimming goals, promoting continuous improvement and growth.
Water safety is a vital life skill, and it is at the core of our teaching philosophy. Our lessons not only focus on teaching children to swim but also on increasing their water awareness and safety skills. Our instructors are experienced and Austswim approved, ensuring that your child receives quality instruction from qualified professionals. We are also recognised as an Austswim approved swim centre.
