Sunraysia Drag Racing Association (SDRA) is a sports club located in Mildura Rural City, Victoria. Founded with the aim of promoting and organising drag racing events in a safe and controlled environment, SDRA offers thrilling racing experiences for both seasoned racers and newcomers to the sport.
One of SDRA's highlight events is the Davison Motor Group Summer Street Series, a four-night calendar held during the summer months. This series provides an opportunity for individuals to try drag racing without the risks associated with street racing. With the generous support of Davison Motor Group, participants can test their driving skills and the capabilities of their cars on the beautiful Friday nights in Mildura. The entry fee for the series is $80, and there are different groups available for street bikes and cars.
The Real Street group is for cars slower than 8 seconds on the track, while the Quick Street group is for cars faster than 8 seconds. Throughout the series, prizes will be awarded for Best Reaction Time and Quickest Pass. The final event will feature an all-run format, giving participants a taste of competition-style racing and a chance to win cash prizes of $500 for the winner and $250 for the runner-up. Spectators are welcome to attend and support the racers for an admission fee of $10, with free entry for children under 16.
For convenience, online entry through the provided link on the SDRA website is preferred, but participants can also enter on the night of the event. Gates will open at 6pm for sign-in and vehicle and helmet checks, with racing scheduled from 7pm to 11pm. The race dates for the Davison Motor Group Summer Street Series are October 13th, November 24th, January 12th, and February 23rd.
