SupaNova Synchronised Swimming Club is an esteemed sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. Established in July 2015, the club quickly made a name for itself in the Australian Synchronised Swimming World by securing fourth place overall in the National Competition within its first year of operation.
The primary goal of SupaNova is to provide its athletes with high-quality training and ample opportunities to compete and excel at local, state, national, and international competitions. The club takes pride in its body of experienced coaches, which includes two athletes who represented Australia in synchronised swimming at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Additionally, four of SupaNova's Open athletes (18 and over) and two Junior athletes (15–17 years) have proudly represented Australia in various international synchronised swimming championships. These talented athletes also contribute to the club by serving as coaches.
SupaNova enjoys tremendous support from its home base, LeisureFit Booragoon, as well as its satellite StarBurst pools, which provide the club with dedicated pool time and space. The club is grateful for its devoted team of coaches who manage to accommodate their coaching duties alongside their own competitive athletic pursuits. Furthermore, SupaNova is fortunate to have an enthusiastic parent-run committee that generously volunteers their time for the betterment of the athletes.
The club greatly appreciates the support it receives from its governing bodies, Synchro WA and SSAI, which contribute to the growth and development of synchronised swimming in Western Australia. SupaNova's achievements have also garnered recognition in the community, with both the Mandurah Stretch Arts Festival and Perth Festival seeking partnerships with the club for their respective projects in 2017.
As SupaNova continues to grow and attract more athletes, the club faces the ongoing challenge of sourcing additional pool space and attracting and developing competent coaches. However, the club remains dedicated to meeting this challenge and is committed to the sport's expansion in Western Australia.
SupaNova Synchronised Swimming Club welcomes athletes of all ages and skill levels who are passionate about the sport. Whether aspiring to compete at a high level or simply looking to enjoy the physical and artistic aspects of synchronised swimming, SupaNova provides a supportive and inclusive environment for all its members.
