Taya Taekwondo Academy

Taya Taekwondo Academy is a family-run and family-oriented sports club located in the North West Suburb of Sydney, Australia. Our club prides itself on creating a strong sense of belonging and community spirit, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among our members. We believe in training together, having fun, supporting each other, and celebrating success as a team.

At Taya Taekwondo Academy, we not only focus on physical fitness through the practise of Taekwondo but also on the cultivation of mental strength and character by instilling the Tenets of Taekwondo in our members. We believe in nurturing the taekwondo journey of our members, training them not only to become athletes but also as referees, poomsae judges, instructors, and coaches.

What sets us apart is our husband-wife-daughter team, who bring their combined knowledge, experience, and passion for taekwondo to assist our members in achieving their goals. Whether it's becoming a future taekwondo champion, an instructor, or simply improving fitness and mental well-being, we are committed to helping our members be the best they can be.

Our classes and training sessions take place in a fun learning environment where members are encouraged to excel. We offer high-quality teaching in all aspects of taekwondo at an affordable, low-cost flat fee structure with no lock-in contracts. During the Covid-19 lockdown periods, we held online classes via the Zoom platform to keep our members healthy, active, happy, positive, energised, and connected in the safety of their homes.

We welcome people of all ages to experience the many benefits of practising taekwondo. Family members are encouraged to train together, and we offer one free trial session to introduce the basic movements of taekwondo. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about our programmes and see if Taekwondo is the right choice for you or your family. Booking is essential due to limited spots available.

Our classes are held on Wednesday and Friday nights at Quakers Hill East Primary School in Acacia Gardens. In addition, we offer specialised sports classes on Wednesday and Friday nights from 8:30-9:30 PM to assist with the development of athletes for tournament sparring and poomsae. As a registered premium club with Australian Taekwondo, we ensure that our training meets the highest standards.

Taya Taekwondo is also a NSW Active Kids sports provider. You can refer to Service NSW for details on how to apply for the voucher. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have completed the Covid-19 Safety Course for Martial Arts Instruction and are Covid-Safe Certified by the Martial Arts Industry Association. We have implemented a thorough Covid-Safe Plan to ensure the safety and protection of all our instructors, members, and families.
