The Hayshed, located in picturesque Pialligo and owned by Pialligo Pty Ltd, is a family-run boutique agistment centre that caters to both horses and riders. Nestled among cafés, restaurants, and nurseries, The Hayshed offers a unique and enjoyable agistment experience, just minutes away from Canberra city.
At The Hayshed, the well-being of your horse is our top priority. We have an on-site manager available 24/7 to ensure the safety and care of all horses. Additionally, our gentle giant dog, Obi, patrols the centre, providing excellent security for our agistees.
We welcome riders of all levels, from beginners with their first horse to ambitious competitors. Our professional equestrian staff offer full care services for your horse, including training or exercise if required. We also provide riding lessons and clinics with local and international instructors, as well as specialised dressage instruction for horse and rider at all levels.
In addition to our equestrian services, The Hayshed offers other amenities. We have comfortable extra-large stables and yards, as well as various arenas for different disciplines. Our outdoor arena boasts Canberra's best riding surface, formulated to provide cushioning and give without the “hard going” commonly found with sand surfaces. It is an all-weather, low-dust riding surface that is raked three times per week and watered daily.
The outdoor arena also features six large mirrors, perfect for dressage training. We also maintain an indoor arena, grass jumping arena, and round yard.
Other facilities at The Hayshed include paddocks, wash bays, and tack and feed storage. Our horse-safe fencing meets industry standards, and we offer float parking for your convenience. Additionally, we provide toilet and bathroom facilities, including a shower. Plenty of shade is available throughout the property to ensure a comfortable environment for both horses and riders.
