Traralgon Redsox Baseball Club

Traralgon Redsox Baseball Club is a prominent sports club located in Latrobe City, Australia. With a strong focus on community and player development, the club offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels.

Led by TeeBall coaches Dennis Smith and Dennis Caulfield, along with President Daniel Smith and Vice President Dennis Caulfield, the club is well-organised and committed to providing the best experience for its members. The dedicated team of volunteers, including Secretary Nicki Townsend, Treasurer Amy Berends, and Uniform/Merch coordinator Teresa Neilson, work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the club's operations.

One of the key highlights of Traralgon Redsox Baseball Club is its strong coaching team. John Kus, the club's senior coach for 2023, brings a wealth of experience and is eager to lead the team to success. Kus has put in significant effort into recruitment, strengthening the senior ranks and nurturing the growth and maturity of young players who showed promise in the previous season.

Luke Hornstra, who had a successful season in 2022 winning league and club Best and Fairest, continues as the club A grade assistant coach. He is determined to guide the teams to the next level after falling short in the grand finals last year. Hornstra also takes on the role of under 13 coach, utilising his experience to develop the club's youth programme.

Joining the coaching team for 2023, Wayne Beaton takes on the role of B grade coach. With premiership experience and a strong dedication to the Redsox, Beaton is an exceptional role model for both experienced and new players. Ken Neilson, the C grade coach, focuses on developing young and new players, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

The club has also appointed assistants to support the teams. Will Brooker and Austin McConville, under Kus's guidance, will learn the skills and strategies of coaching. Dennis Caulfield and Josh Neilson, Ken's coaches awards of 2022, will provide valuable support as assistant coaches for the C grade team.

Traralgon Redsox Baseball Club places a great emphasis on the development of its youth players. Kus takes on the responsibility of coaching the under 16 players, preparing them for future senior roles. The club recognises that not every game will be won, but believes in investing in the youth for the future of Traralgon Baseball.
