Tuggeranong Lions

Tuggeranong Lions is a prominent sports club located in Canberra, Australia. The club is part of the Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Club (TVAFC) and has recently amalgamated with three other Australian Football Clubs in the Tuggeranong Valley, namely Tuggeranong Hawks, Tuggeranong Bulldogs, and Calwell Swans. This exciting merger marks a new era for Valley Football and reinforces their commitment to being a strong and community-oriented ACT Sports Club.

Tuggeranong Lions welcomes players of all ages and values inclusion, family, and positivity. The club offers a range of teams for both mixed and girls-only competitions, with players born between 2015 and 2004 able to find a suitable team to join. First-year players in the Auskick Rookies programme receive an AFL backpack filled with goodies, while Auskick Pros players receive a gift from AFL Canberra as well as shorts, socks, and other essentials. Furthermore, players in the Under 9s and above age groups will receive playing shorts, socks, and a Club Hoodie.

Coaches in all age groups are accredited through AFL Canberra, ensuring a high standard of coaching and player development. Each team is also required to have a parent volunteer who is qualified in first aid or sports training. The club is more than willing to reimburse individuals who take on this role, provided they complete the necessary course.
