Established in 1983, the Vikings Fishing Club has been fishing in the Tuggeranong Valley, ACT for over 40 years! As a proud affiliate club of the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union Club, the Vikings Fishing Club offers fishing activities in the Canberra region, the New South Wales south coast, and the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.
The Vikings Fishing Club is dedicated to celebrating all forms of fishing by providing its members with value for money fishing trips, social activities, and training seminars. Whether you prefer fishing from the shore or a boat, the Vikings Fishing Club offers a range of activities to cater to your preferences.
General club meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7. 30pm at the Erindale Vikings Club in Wanniassa. These meetings provide an opportunity for fisher-folk to meet and connect with fellow enthusiasts. The Vikings Fishing Club also offers a membership form to those interested in joining, ensuring that everyone can become part of the fisher-folk community.
In addition to regular meetings, the Vikings Fishing Club hosts various events throughout the year. By subscribing to their calendar, members can stay updated on upcoming club events and ensure that they don't miss out on the fun. Monthly club meetings are open to both members and non-members, providing the perfect chance to get involved and learn more about the club.
The Vikings Fishing Club also boasts its own club property, known as “The Bermagui House”, located at 21 Sinclair Street, Bermagui. This dual unit dwelling is available for private hire by VFC members when not being used for fishing trips. Unit 1 can accommodate up to 13 people in 12 beds and has recently undergone renovations. Unit 2 is wheelchair accessible and also sleeps up to 13 people.
Both units come equipped with toilets, showers, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and TV's, ensuring a comfortable stay for members.
To make a booking at The Bermagui House, members can refer to the House Master. Please note that bedding and linen are not provided, so members must bring their own sleeping bags, sheets, pillows, and towels.
For all fishing-related inquiries, members can contact the Trip Master, who can provide information about the Fishing Calendar and upcoming trips.
