Are you the owner of Western Victorian Axemen's Association?

Western Victorian Axemen’s Assoc. Is believed to be Victoria’s oldest axemen’s association. It was known to be active as a group of mates who got together to chop at the local sports days in the late 1890s. Around 1901 it became an almost regular event at the local sports days along with foot racing, horse events and the novelty events – sack races, potato bagging competitions etc.
It officially became an Association on 24th April 1906. With only limited activity during the war years it was back again after this, as strong and popular as ever.
While not Victoria’s largest association it has a large area of coverage taking in the Bellarine peninsula at its eastern end through to the South Australian border in the west. The northern boundary is the Western Hwy to the coast as its southern boundary.
