About
Wivenhoe District Hack and Pony Club was established in mid 2008. It was created by a group of parents who wanted to encourage riders to participate in all facets of the ‘Equestrian World’.
The Club is fortunate enough to call the Lowood Show Grounds home. The WDHPC has access to the Lowood Show Society's covered and open yards, Show Ring as well as a 20 × 40m enclosed grass arena which is fantastic for green or nervous riders.
The Club also has a full set of light weight Show Jumps, as well as Mounted Games Equipment, full canteen facilities and not to mention some incredible, dedicated and talented Members!
Many of the Clubs Members compete in a variety of Equestrian Disciplines including Show Jumping, Dressage, One Day Eventing, Western, Sporting, Hacking, Interschool and Carriage Driving.
We believe that this is what makes our club unique; everyone comes together for the love of their family – two and four legged alike – and appreciates each other’s experiences in their chosen discipline. With this vast wealth of knowledge, all of our riders benefit and Musters always offer something different. Riders are encourage to give new things a go.
We have two philosophies; “Many hands make light work” & “You only get out what you put in”.
