At Yarra Valley Fly Fishers, we prioritise introducing newcomers to the world of fly-fishing while also providing activities that cater to experienced anglers. Our club offers a range of exciting activities to enhance your fly-fishing skills and knowledge. These include club meetings where members can connect with fellow enthusiasts, fly tying lessons taught by experienced instructors, streamcraft instruction to help you navigate rivers and streams effectively, and fly casting tuition to perfect your casting techniques.
One of the highlights of our club is the opportunity to embark on club trips to various picturesque locations across Victoria. Organised monthly, these trips can span either a single day or an entire weekend, with accommodation provided. Not only do these trips allow members to explore different fishing spots in the region, but they also foster strong friendships among participants. Some of the stunning locations we visit include Kiewa Valley, Mitta Mitta, Howqua, Anglers Rest, Eildon, Newlyn Reservoir, and Lake Toolondo.
We also organise social fishing trips to Millbrook Lakes, New Zealand, or Tasmania, providing a chance to reel in some truly impressive catches.
