Yoga practise combined with a healthy natural diet of fresh fruits and vegetables leads to a calmer and clearer mind with a deeper sense of wellbeing and contentment.
The Yoga Sanctum is located in Murwillumbah near Bray Park NSW. All classes, yoga therapy & private yoga tuition are taught by Shri, a certified : Senior Level Iyengar yoga teacher with 35 years of professional experience (see teacher page for more information).
The studio is a fully equipped yoga space which provides classes within a non-competitive and supportive environment. You don't need to have a certain level of fitness or flexibility, as the different class levels are designed to suit everyone's needs. A regular practise is great for back care.
Most forms of physical work including exercise or sport involve a limited range of repetitive movements. As a result, some muscles and joints get a lot of work, while others are not worked enough. These imbalances pull the body out of alignment, causing a loss of efficient functioning for the whole system. Classes at the Yoga Sanctum pay attention to body alignment, condition of the nerves, glands and organs, as well as to the musculo-skeletal system.
Students learn how to work the entire muscular system in a balanced way to reach optimum strength, flexibility, and health. Hatha Yoga has been practised for thousands of years to balance and connect the body and mind.
