Yogaphysio is a sports club based in Brisbane, Australia, that offers yoga for everyone, with a focus on fitness, therapy, and fun. What sets Yogaphysio apart from regular yoga classes is that the practises taught are specifically chosen to bring balance to the body. Students are challenged with postures that they need to work on, rather than only practising the ones that come easily to them. The ultimate goal is for students to confidently and effortlessly perform classical yoga poses while avoiding injuries that could arise from an imbalanced foundation.
Yogaphysio is dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge and skills to optimise their physical and mental health through yoga. They offer regular online classes with small class sizes to cater to individual needs. Additionally, Yogaphysio conducts “In Person” classes, such as extended length classes (Intensives), workshops, and retreats in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales. For those dealing with injuries or ailments, private yoga/physio sessions are available with Tam, the founder of Yogaphysio, in Byron Bay, Brisbane, and online.
To stay connected with Yogaphysio, interested individuals can subscribe to the mailing list to receive occasional newsletters and updates on online and in-person events. The website also features a blog with a wealth of informative content, as well as free yoga practise videos on their YouTube channel.
Yogaphysio also provides a Physiotherapy Assessment Package and Yoga Therapy sessions, which consist of three one-hour sessions aimed at improving physical well-being. There may be medical rebate options available for these services.
In addition to regular classes and therapy sessions, Yogaphysio organises yoga retreats in various serene locations. For example, the Silent Meditation and Yoga Retreat is held in Springbrook, Queensland, in the breathtaking Gold Coast hinterland. This retreat offers participants the opportunity to nourish their minds, bodies, and spirits. Dates for upcoming retreats are provided on the website.
