Pemberton Athletics Track is excited to announce the upcoming ABP Newport Wales Marathon on April 28, 2024. This event is a big deal in the world of Welsh running, with a reputation for its super flat course that draws runners from all corners of the UK.
Participants in the race will get to experience some iconic landmarks along the way, like the Transporter Bridge and the picturesque Gwent Levels. Newport itself is a city steeped in history and culture, with cool stuff like artisan breweries and a happening music scene.
The races will begin and end at the bustling riverfront in the city center, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for everyone involved. And if the full marathon isn't your thing, no worries! There will also be options for a half marathon and a 10K race to cater to runners of all levels. Plus, there are Junior Races planned, from a family-friendly Fun Run to a race for the littlest ones in the Toddler Dash.
