About
Welcome to Acadmie Iron Tree, a traditional Kung Fu school located in Trois-Rivires. The term Kung Fu signifies “mastery through hard work” and is used to describe those who work diligently to achieve mastery in an art and in themselves. Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art with a spiritual dimension, rooted in focus and discipline. There are numerous styles within this art, and our system, Ng Ying Kuen (Five Animal Forms), incorporates movements and combat styles from five animals: the tiger, leopard, dragon, crane, and snake.
It also includes various weapons forms, breathing exercises, and body conditioning, providing incredible health benefits, emotional well-being, and advanced self-defence techniques.
Each form within our style is a complete system on its own, with each animal style developing different aspects of the body and mind. Additionally, each animal form has its own combat strategy for example, the leopard is particularly effective against smaller opponents. Our system goes beyond animal forms and includes Tiet Hsin Kuen (Iron Wire Fist), a conditioning form that targets the tendons.
Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in the Ng Ying Kuen system and are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. Our training facilities are equipped with everything necessary for a productive and fulfilling Kung Fu practice, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students of all levels.
