Adagio School of Dance, based in Brentwood, is an award-winning dance school and performing arts group that offers exceptional training for students with aspirations of a future in the spotlight. With a focus on creating performers with exceptional all-round skills, Adagio has produced past students who are currently studying at leading vocational schools and performing with top classical companies and West End shows.
At Adagio School of Dance, students learn the disciplines of performing arts in a nurturing environment. The school boasts an exceptional faculty of teachers, as well as internationally renowned guest teachers, ensuring that students receive the highest quality of instruction. Adagio is easy to find, located in Essex and has the exclusive use of breathtaking facilities that house five state-of-the-art studios.
The school offers a range of classes to cater to different interests and abilities. Students can explore classical ballet, tap, musical theatre, modern jazz, acro & gymnastics, pointe, Lamda, street contemporary, GCSE/A level dance, adult classes, and teacher training assistant teacher programmes. Adagio also offers further dance study at the ACPA for those looking to pursue a career in dance.
In addition to regular classes, Adagio School of Dance also offers exciting opportunities through workshops and courses. These include musical theatre weeks, aerial arts, circus skills, and ballet intensives. These experiences allow students to further develop their skills and broaden their horizons.
The school is led by Mrs. Bronwen Patching, the Principal, who has a passion for promoting excellence and access into the world of dance through education. Adagio's ethos is founded on the principles of dreaming, aspiring, achieving, and excelling. They offer a step-by-step junior programme, a free trial class for new pupils, and classes for all abilities and ages.
Adagio School of Dance prides itself on its comprehensive range of classes, which include ballet, pointe, tap, modern, contemporary, street, jazz, gymnastics, and acro. They also offer musical theatre classes that incorporate dance, drama, singing, and acting to encourage students to further develop their talents. LAMDA classes are available for voice coaching and acting, and UCAS points can be earned in higher grades of ballet, tap, modern, and LAMDA.
