About
Looking for a place to make a splash? Head over to Admiral Swimming Centre on Higher Ranscombe Road in Brixham, Devon. Run by the friendly folks at Brixham Admiral Swim Company Limited, this charity-owned pool has something for everyone.
Admiral Swimming Centre has been a local favourite since the late 1920s, originally starting with lifesaving lessons at the tidal Shoalstone Seawater Pool. Fast forward to 1975 after a lot of hard work by volunteers, and they had their very own 25m indoor heated pool, even getting a royal visit from the Duke and Duchess of Kent.
Though the pool had a rough patch in 1999 needing major repairs, the community and grants came through, leading to a massive refurb that wrapped up in 2008. Now, it’s better than ever—with a tonne of activities like Aqua Tots, Aqua Zumba, kayaking, canoeing, and water polo. The pool hosts the Admiral Swimming School and the Brixham Marlin Swimming Club too.
You can grab private or group swimming lessons and even hire the meeting room for events or children’s parties. Want to know more? Check out their website, scroll through the photo gallery, or give the team a shout. Admiral Swimming Centre's staff are always happy to help with any questions. Dive in and join the fun at this top spot for swimming, learning, and competing!
