The beginners aerial hoop course offered by Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio in Norwich is the perfect opportunity for those interested in exploring the world of aerial hoop. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this course focuses on safe practices and building a strong foundation for future classes.
Participants in the course will learn essential techniques such as mounting the hoop, working on individual moves, combinations, and routines, all while improving their strength and flexibility. Don't worry if you're not initially strong enough – this course is suitable for people of all fitness levels. With each move practised, your strength and flexibility will gradually improve.
It's important to note that due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the hoops are now untaped to allow for more frequent cleaning. To ensure a secure grip, participants are advised to wear shorts and have skin grip on the hoop.
The beginners aerial hoop course is a crucial first step towards progressing to the intermediate level. In the intermediate course, participants will focus on moves under and in the hoop, as well as working on top of it. For those who are dedicated to their progress, it is recommended to book multiple terms of the beginners course before moving up to the next level.
The course consists of a comprehensive session, including a warm-up, a recap of previously learned moves, strength training, flexibility work, learning new moves, and a cool-down session. The duration of the course is 4 weeks, and the price is £45 per course.
Classes are held on Sundays and are taught by the talented Aerial Hoop Instructor Holly Munson. The studio, Firefly Pole & Aerial Studio, is located at Unit 7 Halifax Court, 50 Hurricane Way, Norwich, Norfolk, NR6 6JB.
