About

AFL Masters WA is an AFL football club located in Tuart Hill, Western Australia. The club is proud to announce that it will be hosting the 2024 AFL Masters National Carnival for the very first time. This prestigious event, which will mark the 41st Masters Carnival, will bring together over 70 teams from across Australia and will take place in Fremantle in October next year.

AFL Masters is a unique competition that is open to both male and female players aged 35 and over. It is a fantastic opportunity for older players to continue participating in the sport they love and to showcase their skills on a national level. In fact, the Women's Masters division has experienced significant growth and is now one of the largest areas of the sport.

In addition to hosting the National Carnival, AFL Masters WA also takes pride in its players' achievements. Recently, several players from the club were selected to represent Australia on the International Series Ireland Tour in March 2024. This tour will feature modified Gaelic Football/Masters AFL games and will showcase the talent and skill of these dedicated players.

Furthermore, AFL Masters WA has had many successes in previous competitions. During the recent National AFL Masters Carnival in Maroochydore, the club's Women's Over 40s team emerged as Division 1 champions, as did the Men's Over 50s team. These victories are a testament to the club's commitment to team play, high-pressure tackling, and fluent footskills.

AFL Masters WA is not only focused on competition but also on promoting inclusivity in football. The club is proud to be associated with the Inclusion Football Academy, which provides opportunities for individuals of all abilities to participate in the sport. Additionally, the club actively partners with WA Football to ensure that the game is accessible to all Western Australians.

Potential new members can easily find their nearest AFL Masters club through the Play AFL feature and are encouraged to join this inclusive and passionate community. AFL Masters WA also extends its appreciation to its partners, including Marsh Insurance, and supports young talent through programmes such as the AFL Draught, where promising players like Dan Curtin, Mitch Edwards, Aiden O'Driscoll, Clay Hall, Riley Hardeman, and many others have been recognised.

AFL Masters WA is more than just a football club it is a community of dedicated and passionate individuals who continue to play and promote the game of AFL well into their adult lives. Whether you're an experienced player or looking to get involved in AFL for the first time, AFL Masters WA welcomes you to join their club and experience the camaraderie and excitement of the sport.
