Aspire Aikido London, the local Mixed Martial Arts club in London, is thrilled to invite all interested players to our upcoming Aikido event.
Our Aikido sessions, taking place every Tuesday and Thursday, provide a fantastic opportunity to delve into the world of martial arts. From [start time] to [end time], each session focuses on a combination of weapons training and empty-handed techniques. It's an absolute must for anyone passionate about Aikido.
To fully grasp the intricate relationship between Bukiwasa and Taijutsu, we strongly encourage participants to attend the entire two-hour session. Don't worry if you don't have your own Jo and Bokken just yet. For newcomers, we have a limited number of spare weapons available for borrowing. However, we do recommend bringing your own Jo and Bokken, preferably the Iwama Bokken and Jo.
We strive to provide a welcoming environment for both members and non-members. Non-members will be charged £18 per session, while our valued members enjoy a reduced rate of £12 per session. As an added benefit, members can choose to pay a monthly fee of £70, due on the 1st of every month. By opting for the monthly membership, you'll gain access to reduced fees not only for the Tuesday and Thursday sessions but also for the Monday and Friday sessions throughout the month. It's a great option for those committed to their Aikido journey.
Please keep in mind that the monthly fee is non-refundable, even if you happen to miss any classes. To become a member, simply fill out an application form and pay the yearly membership fee of £35. Once you've joined our esteemed club, you'll receive a personalised Membership book from TIAE Takemusu Iwama Aikido Association. This book will come complete with a unique membership number used for your future gradings. Additionally, members will be provided with an annual insurance certificate, ensuring their coverage for 12 months. It's important to renew your membership every 12 months to maintain your insurance benefits.
For those looking to obtain the Wooden Iwama Sword (Bokken) or the Wooden Iwama Staff (Jo), we have you covered. These items can be ordered for £55 each, with a minimum order quantity of 10. Please bear in mind that delivery from Japan may take 2–3 weeks, and the prices are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.
