Beginners Welcome Whether you have previous experience or are completely new to martial arts, Aikido Alton welcomes all ages and levels of experience. In fact, we particularly encourage beginners to join us. We believe that Aikido has something to offer everyone, and our instructors will provide personalised guidance and support to ensure that you progress at your own pace.
Free Introductory Class We understand that starting a new martial art can be intimidating, which is why we offer a free introductory class on the first Tuesday of every month. This gives you the opportunity to come and experience Aikido firsthand, meet our instructors and fellow members, and ask any questions you may have.
Benefits Aikido Alton focuses not only on self-defence but also on overall fitness, coordination, and calmness under pressure. Aikido teaches you to redirect and neutralise an attacker's energy, promoting a sense of harmony and non-aggression. As you continue to practise Aikido, you will develop better balance, coordination, and sensitivity, which can be beneficial in all aspects of life.

We welcome beginners and those with a background in other martial arts. The first two weeks are free so you can see if you love aikido as much as we do.
