Airborne Gym Club Newport is a local gymnastics club based in Newport and Market Drayton, offering gymnastics to preschool children through to selected squad gymnasts for girls. With over 180 members, the club provides a range of classes and training options for gymnasts of all levels.
The competitive girls at Airborne Gym Club train up to ten hours per week, while the beginner and development classes range from one hour to five hours per week. Sessions are available throughout the week and are led by fully qualified British Gymnastics Coaches who have all undergone CRB clearing. These coaches are assisted by a number of enthusiastic and passionate ex-gymnasts, ensuring small group sizes and a low teacher to pupil ratio.
Airborne Gym Club operates from three venues: Grove School in Market Drayton, Pulse Fitness in Newport, and Lilleshall National Sports Centre. The club also runs satellite clubs in surrounding schools, delivering curriculum sessions and after-school gymnastics classes.
The club was established in 2010 by local Commonwealth Games finalist, Jason Tucker. As an experienced gymnastics coach, Jason aims to provide a happy and enjoyable training environment where children can have fun, make friends, and achieve their own personal goals.
Airborne Gym Club offers sessions to boys and girls from 3 years old upwards. Whether children are looking to participate in gymnastics for fun and fitness or to work towards local competitions, the club provides an encouraging and supportive environment where each individual has the opportunity to shine and reach their potential.
