Alba Performing Arts School

Welcome to Alba Performing Arts School, a premier performing arts school with branches in Tillicoultry, Kincardine & Muckhart, Scotland. Established in 2018 by Nadine Blackie, Alba started with under 50 pupils and has now grown to over 160 pupils, with 3 branches and 38 classes a week.

At Alba Performing Arts School, we offer classes in a variety of styles including dance, singing, drama, and adult fitness. Our team of staff are all fully qualified and supported by our dedicated teaching assistants who are working towards their Level 3 Diploma in Dance Assisting. Each teacher is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for every pupil, ensuring the highest quality of teaching. Our primary goal is to ensure our pupils are having fun!

While we do not require pupils to take exams, we do follow the IDTA exam syllabus in some of our classes, providing the option for those who would like to take exams. We are proud of our 100% pass rate and consistently receive excellent feedback from examiners and pupils regarding their exams.

- Miss Nadine: Nadine started her journey in the performing arts at a young age and always knew she wanted to become a teacher. She studied Performing Arts at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London and graduated in 2018. Nadine is currently working towards her IDTA exams and hopes to one day become an examiner. She is also part of the IDTA Scotland Theatre Branch Committee and is passionate about growing the IDTA in Scotland.

- Miss Arianne: Arianne joined our team in June 2023 and has quickly become a valued member of the Alba family. She teaches our Commercial and Movers and Groovers classes in Tillicoultry on Mondays. Arianne completed her Higher National Diploma in Dance Artistry at West College Scotland and has 8 years of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher with the Walt Disney Company World Wide. She loves inspiring the younger generations and helping them fall in love with dance.

- Aaron: Aaron is our Principal Teacher at the Kincardine branch. He trained with Miss Nadine at a local theatre school during their childhood, which fueled his love for the arts. He furthered his training at the Dance School of Scotland and Arts Educational in London. Since joining Alba, Aaron has been instrumental in the success of our Kincardine branch.
